Bust Series
All of the busts are self portraits depicting my my connection to the natural world. Covering myself or becoming one of these natural forms was the visual connection that occurred in a dream. That dream became a rich direction for me to work in for several years.
The busts are separate from, but displayed on related "torso" pedestals. All have references to antiquity and symbolism. The sculptures are all ceramic, one of a kind and hand-built. Most of the torsos are finished with a glaze and the busts are hand painted with acrylic paint. Intended for indoor display only.
