Black Series
These sculptures are twisting and morphing into forms that for me, represent the mystery of existence. Spiraling or rotation is prevalent in much of what we know on our planet. Planets orbit, water and wind spiral or funnel. These forces of nature can create life or cause death. The color black has many symbolic meanings, some of which relate to my ideas. Primal, fertile, germinal, death, the unconscious, timelessness, and so on.
All sculptures are ceramic, hand-built and one of a kind. I carve, texture, glaze and fire them in a kiln. For indoor display only.
